Molly Smith is a 15 year old musician, actress, and filmmaker from Orlando, Florida. Her YouTube channel is called “Mollywood Music.” She started playing guitar at age 13, and she also sings and plays piano. In 2017, she was invited to Prodigy Camp in Seattle, Washington, which is a camp for 10 upcoming high school songwriters around the world. She writes deep and inspiring poems and uploads them to her YouTube. She uploads originals and covers to her YouTube and SoundCloud. The originals on her YouTube are “Broken” and “Marble Steps,” and she has many more on her SoundCloud. I would describe her music as chill, as it helps with anxiety.

She started acting at age seven in some local plays. She later became an award-winning filmmaker, and has won many festivals with her films “Pickles” and “Colors of Innocence.” When she was in middle school, she got the opportunity to be in her high school’s play “Into the Woods.” She has been in many short films and won awards for them, and she is currently directing a documentary short called “Finding Home.” She is only 15 years old, and she’s already casting people for her own films, and winning awards for them.

At age 11, Molly and her mom were interviewed by Molly’s vocal coach, Ella Glasgow. Glasgow asked her, “When did that dream start?” Molly said, “When I was about three, I wanted to enter my school’s talent show, and I sang a little song. It was really funny, and I’ve been doing it ever since, and then I just figured that I really loved it.” Molly enjoys performing and recently entered the Celebration of Music contest. She didn’t win, but her audition video is still being talked about as a stunning display of talent.

Molly is a multi-talented and hard-working teenage girl, who is living her dream. The interview says she is maintaining a high GPA, while also being booked for shows and directing films. Molly is very talented, and she is definitely star quality. I hope I get to see a concert of hers one day.
