After the release of his newest album, Divide, on March 3, 2018, Ed Sheeran embarked on his Divide World Tour on March 16, 2017, planning to end it on March 27, 2019. Ed Sheeran will be performing at Nissan Stadium on Oct. 6, 2018, and will be bringing Lauv and Snow Patrol as opening acts for the North American Stadium leg.

Ed Sheeran’s Divide World Tour features his vocals, guitars, and a loop station. Sheeran has a huge stage with multiple screens and two other screens on each side of the stage. His set list includes 17 songs, ranging from his early hits, like “The A Team,” and his newer hits, such as “Perfect.”

People may be turned away when they learn that it is just him on stage, but it will amaze you how he plays. The loop station is amazing because he can make any studio version song sound way better live. His voice is very distinct, so it is amazing to hear it fill a stadium instead of just listening to it through headphones.

He comes out with “Castle on the Hill” and moves through the first part of his set fairly quickly because he starts off with many fast songs. Later in his set, he sings many of his huge hits like, “Thinking Out Loud,” “Photograph,” and “Perfect.” Unlike some artists, Sheeran talks throughout the performance and engages with the crowd. When I went to his concert at Bridgestone Arena last year, he talked about the messages behind some of the songs and why he wrote “Perfect.” He threw in some funny comments to keep everyone going. During his encore in Nashville, he came back in a Predators Jersey and sang “Shape of You” and “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You.”

In conclusion, Ed Sheeran’s Divide World Tour is a unique, spectacular show. This tour is definitely something you won’t want to miss. This is a once in a lifetime show.
