2019 is an exciting year for new titles. There are plenty of well-anticipated games coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch. Fan favorite titles such as Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, and Tom Clancy are bringing new content to the table this year.

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in development for a very long time, 14 years to be exact, so fans are highly anticipating this title to live up to the hype. Director Tetsuya Nomura has been pretty shy about his enthusiasm for this game. Kingdom Hearts 3 is the next installment in the Kingdom Hearts RPG franchise, which included characters from Disney and Square Enix. Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released on January 29, 2019, for North America. Kingdom Hearts is very popular since it is a crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney characters.

Resident Evil 2 is a classic zombie game that changed the genre with this amazing title. Residents Evil 2 Remake is meant to make the title more accessible, rather than finding your old, original PlayStation. Tsuyoshi Kanda has made many changes to Resident Evil 2, updating many of the poor aspects of the original game that needed to be dealt with. Kanda is trying to keep the original game intact as much as possible without sacrificing the gameplay experience.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 launches on Mar. 15, 2019. Ubisoft said The Division 2 will not be sold through Steam, and it will be sold on the Epic Games marketplace instead. The Division is an open world shooter that seems to be almost like an RPG with a lot of online interactions. Division 2 is oriented towards fast-paced action. The Division was a very good game, and the next title in the series should be even better.

While there are plenty of good titles being released in 2019, these games won’t live up the games released in 2018. Many of these titles seem to be very overhyped, and I just don’t believe that they will live up to it. Regardless, 2019 will be another great year for video games.
