During the riveting football game between the JPII Knights and the South Warren Spartans, a referee was struck by the Knights TV drone, leaving him in a coma. The quadrocopter was flown by Knights TV drone pilot Matthew Geist, who was reportedly seen laughing and stating, “Good Knight, ref.”

According to witnesses, the Knights had received penalties on three consecutive plays leading up to the crash.

Although Geist claimed the incident was an accident, Spartans fans seemed to disagree.

“Not only were they losing the game,” one fan noted, “But they had also had a flag thrown on almost every play!”

The family of the victim has announced that charges would be filed, releasing a statement that read: “We just can’t sleep at night, knowing that a drone-wielding monster is still out there.”

Geist has been missing since Friday’s game, along with the Knights TV drone.

However, Headmaster Mike Deely is standing by his student, saying, “If he has nothing to hide he’ll come back any day now. I trust Geist, and I have no doubts that he’s innocent.”
