As the NCAA basketball season gets closer to an end, the NBA draft is right around the corner. College basketball players are starting to get ready for the draft by getting their bodies in the right position. These players are also coming from the college level of basketball, and NBA basketball is much different; therefore, these players must be prepared for the competition in the league.

There has already been multiple 2019 mock NBA drafts by sports analysts, and no one was surprised that Zion Williamson was the number one draft pick in most of these mock drafts. Zion Williamson is arguably one of the best college basketball players in the country, and he is one that people will never forget. The in-game dunks and the blocks that Zion pulls off during games are just mind blowing to fans, other players, and coaches. It would be very hard for the cavaliers, who have the first pick in the 2019 draft, to pass up on Williamson. A reporter states how Williamson’s talents may help a struggling team, “He simply has a massive influence on winning — not just because of his unprecedented combination of strength, agility, and athleticism, but also because he’s a smart, versatile forward who always seems to make the right play when the ball is in his hands. That doesn’t even mention his defensive impact, where he’s been a wrecking ball all season, stockpiling blocks and steals and turning takeaways into transition points one highlight-reel play at a time.”

While Williamson is a great player, there are also other great players that are going to get drafted this year. Zion’s two teammates, R.J. Barrett and Cameron Reddish, are also expected to go in the top 5 in this years draft. R.J. can score better than anyone in the country and can also get the ball to the rim whenever he chooses. Cam Reddish is a sharpshooter from outside that helped Duke’s shooting this season,  but he can also provide shooting for a team in the league.

These three players are very strong athletes and will be good in the NBA, though there are other players out there. For example, Nassir Little from, North Carolina, and Darius Garland, from Vanderbilt, are expected to go top ten. These players are only a few among many that could surprise teams and help them in future seasons if chosen in the draft.
