Season three of the Netflix Original series Last Chance U is filmed in Independence, Kansas, where head coach Jason Brown leads the Independence Community College Pirates during the 2017 season. Throughout the season, in addition to the impulsive Brown, the crew mainly follows Florida State transfer and starting quarterback Malik Henry, who is trying to get back to the D1 level. It shows all the struggles of a junior college athlete and what it is like for the kids.

The season starts by showing the town of Independence, Kansas. It is a small, old town that has nothing and is surrounded by nothing. It follows the team throughout its season, showing the good, bad, and ugly. It even shows the kids in class and their struggles in the classroom.

All of the kids struggle in the classroom. Linebacker Bobby Bruce is an example of this, as he gets special attention from the teachers throughout most of the season. In the show it shows the grade reports, and many have failing grades. The series also shows the weekly games, with cameras on the sidelines to catch all of the action.

What I like about the show is that it shows everything. Nothing is cut out, giving a real in-depth look at a junior college football team. Most of the players have different backgrounds, and many are explored. Center Kerry Buckmaster, for example, was raised in the country and, with both his parents in jail, lived with his grandparents. JPII alum Chris Bell is even on the show. He is #26 and starts some games, even securing a key interception for the Pirates at one point.

In conclusion, if you like football, then I recommend watching this show. It has many D1 talents and shows kids who fight through adversity. It has many high moments, although the low points can be very low. It is a great show, and I advise you to watch it.
